Hello everyone, Im having an iDvd burning issue which Im unable to resolve.
I have an iMac OSX 10.4 tiger oper system with iDvd 6.

I have created several shorter iDvd projects in the past with no problems.
The current project has all the same elements....iPhoto pics, iTunes music and iDvd theme page. The media is also the same...Sony DVD-R.

I since burned the iDvd project to Disc image and then burned a DVD from the Disc image. I also tried different media such as Sony DVD+R AND slowed the burn speed down to the lowest point (6x) I also deleted the iTunes audio playlist and recreated it.

In the end, the same issue....the DVD player hiccups or hangs depending upon which DVD player is in use or just outright stops AND does so at the same spot each time. Although playback from the iDvd project is fine.

This is scheduled to be presented Saturday afternoon, any additional thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

How big is the project? The disk image file you created, is it small enough to fit on a DVD? Is it hanging on playback at the stand alone DVD player or on recording?

The project is 18 mins long. It fits on a Dvd and depending upon the player will hang for a few seconds and then continue to the end. Some players will shut down at the point where it hangs. On the iDvd playback the project is fine.

I have been posting for a few days regarding this iDvd issue with a few suggestions but no resolution. After attempting several fixes and reposting I continued to research and located Apple support discussion forum....with in five mins I believe I have the answers. (in layman terms)

#1 stand alone Dvd players count images and once the project gets to about the #99 image it resets and counts again, causing the project to hiccup or hang.

#2 check Apple discussions first....with all due respect, ALL the talented users on this forum NO one knew this?

Thanks for your assistance. I did get some information and valuable education.
