Connecting ipad to tv?

hey everyone,
im hoping to connect an ipad to a tv,
could anyone tell me the difference between the Apple Composite AV Cable, the Apple Component AV Cable, and the iPad Dock connector to VGA Adapter.

whats the difference between them and which would you recommend?

also whats the best format to use, i use videora to convert my videos to mp4 but there are lots of options(see below) and i dont know what any of them mean.

any help/tips would be greatly appreciated
