my mbp is barely 9 months old and i noticed that my safari hangs often with the spinning beach ball showing. also, the trackpad gets unresponsive sometimes. anyone experienced that before? what could be the underlying problem and what should i do?

I've noticed the same with Safari hanging right after my MBP starts up. I have to force quit and then start it back up again.

Have either of you tried resetting Safari ? I experienced this problem some months ago and found this to be the solution along with making sure it is up to date.

To reset it simply open safari / click Safari in the menu bar / select reset safari

Hope this helps

Yep. I already updated Safari and Reset Safari and the same problem happens when I turn back on my MBP. Mine hangs on the Top Sites screen and don't allow RSS Feeds to update.
