Howdy folks,

For some reason, I can't get my mail to set up. I have a ymail (yahoo) account, but I cant get anything to work. Does anyone know what the account type would be ? Is it a POP or IMAP or what?

Surely Yahoo gave you that info when u got the service. Google the ISP and get the settings that are needed for mail - there will be a pop one and a smtp one.
Then use this in Mail > Preferences to add the account.

Hello , unless they have changed it then you will need to pay for yahoo plus acct in order to use a pop client such as Mail.app . The free yahoo mail is not supported for anything but web ( and mobile ) access.

Hope this helps

To add to what clayneal said, Yahoo charges $20/year for this service last I heard.
