I have recently installed windows seven on bootcamp on my macbook pro. Although the bootcamp windows works like a charm for most things, it has one kicker: It will not allow me to install anything. Whether it be something as simple as firefox or a windows upgrade, nothing works. I also cannot troubleshoot or repair windows at all since everytime I try I get an error.

What error are you getting? Is user access control turned on, and are you logged in as an administrator?

I agree with the above post. This is a matter of UAC (User Account Control) blocking the installation and running of certain programs.

You need to read up on how to get around UAC. The easiest method is to right click on the item and select "run as administrator". Or do as I did and turn off the annoying UAC completely. In any event, do some reading in the Windows 7 help. It will show you how.

Regards.
