Quicktime uninstall

Hi,

I accidentetally deleted Quicktime Player.app.
So I download the Quicktime 7 installer from Apple.com and it said I already have a newer version installed.

So I deleted some Quicktime files from /Library/Preferences and /Library/Receipts and tried again, no luck.

I looked around and found a Quicktime 6.5.3 Reinstaller from Apple, it's supposed to delete Quicktime 7 and reinstall Quicktime 6. But it gives me some error message saying "can't install on this volume" and something about missing a file for "index 21".

I'm running 10.3.9.
I don't want to reinstall the whole OS, please help!
