Your Mac's Specs
Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Activity monitor to monitor any unusual activities, but you will not know what you are seeing majority of the time, as many of the things you'll see are strange named processes that run in the background in Macs.
Activity is best left alone, unless you are trying to track down CPU or RAM usage, and trying to locate the process, and maybe quitting the process if the need be.
Just don't worry about it!
Keep on top of your software updates, as Apple is worrying about this for you with their security updates :)
There is an app called little snitch, but I highly advise against it, as this, and tools like this, will only help your paranoia thrive.
As advised already, drop the Windows mentality, and enjoy your Mac.
