Hey, I'm a compulsive email checker, but I close Mail.app every time I'm done, since I like to keep the dock clean.

However, I want to force mail to check mail only when I open the application (via quicksilver). I don't want to have to press the button :p

If you have any ways, please help me!

Regards,
Mark

Isn't that a default behavior?
When I open my mail app, after 6 sec it autochecks for the first time and then if I leave it open it checks every 30 minutes.

Yes it's the default behavior but as you have mentioned it only does so after a few seconds. I'm assuming the OP has never waited for the auto check feature to start and has always pressed the Get Mail button.

If the OP wants to check mail immediately when starting up then he can try using Thunderbird instead. It's one of the things I've always like about Thunderbird versus Mac Mail. Thunderbird is from the makers of Firefox.
