If I load Final cut Express onto my present, older iMac, can I remove it and load on my new iMac when I make the purchase?

You don't have to remove FCE to install it on another mac. FCE comes with 2 installation codes on the back of the instruction booklet. Just use the code you didn't use on your old mac to install.
