I'm starting to look into installing windows on my macbook 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 1.5 GB 533 MHz memory via boot camp and have been researching which OS would be run best on my mac. I'm setting it up mainly for gaming purposes and am looking to hear others' opinions on the subject:
XP Home Edition/Professional vs. Vista Home Basic/Premium. Which would run better for my uses, considering my computer's specs?

Thanks in advance.

if you can't get Win7, then definitely use xp.

vista is the *least* preferred microsoft OS (at least for now) :) and probably would not run too well on your system. it's a memory hog and sucks down system resources.

Go with XP Home. Forget about XP Pro and Vista. XP Home will be the least resource intensive, best compatibility, and best all around for gaming. If you can't find XP Home inexpensively, then go with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Regards.
