Using Verizon USB Modem to create network

I have a Verizon USB Broadband modem inserted directly into my G4 Powerbook for my wireless internet connection and would like to use that to create a wireless network for my girlfriend to use when she visits. How can I do that? My mac is running OSX 10.5.8 as is hers. I need some idiot proof, step by step instructions, if possible.
