I ordered a 64 gig 3G iPad last night and was wondering if anyone has heard any rumors for any specific date in april when it will be released?

I wish I knew. I am waiting on mine as well. But generally speaking Apple under promises and over delivers. I bet they arrive sometime between the 26th-28th. But if it doesn't ship until the 30th that would be lame.

I would have a guess and say the same date the international people get their ipads. 26th or something like that.

Unofficially yes but nothing has been set in stone (announced) by Apple yet.

me too... I think its a ploy to get us to buy the WiFi one because we are so tired of waiting, and then turn around and buy the 3g.

Yes ploy or not I may just do that....haha naw I will just stick it out and continue to obsessively check my order status 5 times a day even when I know there won't be a change in its status.

My understanding is that April 24th is the date, but again that's just as unofficial as any other date we've heard. All I know is that the stores round here seem to think they are getting theirs on the 24th.

Well I like that date. When I Pre-ordered I was under the impression that the day it launches in the Apple store would be the day it would be arriving at my house.....Hopefully my shipping status changes around the 18th or 19th.

I was told specifically that it would arrive the day it was released at the Apple Store.

This may seem like a dumb question with a simple answer. Why did they not realse the Ipad with 3G in the first place?

I guess the answer is, so they make more money?

Yes I hope that is how it works out. Now on a slightly less exciting note, my keyboard/doc combo shipped today and it had been saying "will ship late April" just like the ipad, so maybe the iPad is closer than we think....haha yeah right.

Yes money may be the truest answer but I read that it took longer for the wifi + 3g model to be cleared by the FCC because of the additional testing required with the added radio. But that could just be all hype.

Well why not wait a whole 2-4 more weeks till it’s all legit and working properly then release it?

Apple are hardly in financial ruins?

My case already arrived! Then the keyboard dock showed up! They are just teasing me now! I'm in the same boat, can't wait. ;D
