macbook won't start up

hi i ahve a macbook pro and it won't start up it just stays in the load up screen with the apple and the load up sign tryed everything what do i do

Try booting your MBP with the original install DVD. After it boots (if it boots) run Disk Utilities from the top menu "Utilities" and do a verify and repair of the hard drive.
