Hi all,
Hope this is in the right place.
Just had to replace my printer and bought an HP Photosmart C4680. I know it's cheap!!
When I print from Windows XP VM, all OK.
If I now try to print from OSX (VM still running), it just goes into the print queue and does not print. If I disconnect the printer from the VM, the queued OSX file will now print.
This also happens when running Ubuntu in a VM.
Is this normal behaviour, or am I missing something?
I have tried changing the network settings in the VM, from NAT to Bridged, but no difference.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
Neil

No, it's normal. When I was running Fusion, the hardware acted the same way. You need to shut down the VM before hardware control returns to OS X.
The same thing can happen with your DVD drive and other hardware attached in Windows while the VM is up and running.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply.
I just thought it might be something due to my replacing the printer.
