To anyone who can help me...

I downloaded both the 10.6.3 OS X update and new iTunes via Software Update before heading to bed last night and chose to Install/Shut Down. When I woke up this morning I noticed my iMac was still on but with a black screen. I tried moving the mouse and pressing many buttons but nothing happened. I decided to hold the button on the back to turn it off. I waited a few minutes and turned it back on. I took a shower and when I came back 15 minutes later it was on the white screen with the gray apple. I let it sit for a few more minutes but it never moved past this screen (the wheel just kept spinning). I had to leave for work so I wasn't able to resolve the problem. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? If so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Something probably suffered from "brain damage" during the update. Try again when you get home. If it still won't boot, recover using your backup (you did make a backup before installing a major update, right?) and then download the combined Snow Leopard 10.6.3 update. After that installs OK, you can download the new iTunes 9.1 update.

Regards.
