Why is so much of my HDD space taken up?

Hello all!

I currently have a 13.3" Macbook Pro with a 250GB HDD.

I'm really confused because almost 190GB of Space is taken up, and I've looked through my HDD, and I just don't see where all that space is going.

I hate to admit it, but with PC's it's a lot easier to see where all your space is going. Is there a simpler way to do this with my Mac? Because I simply just can't find why all my HDD space is being taken up.

I like using OmniDisksweeper for this purpose. It's free and it works well for me.
