Macbook won't power on with battery

15" MBP Unibody 2.53Ghz 4GB RAM 250GB HD,VERIZON iPhone 4,SIG P238 ,iPad,6th Gen iPod NANO
Just picked up a 2.4Ghz Macbook, The machine is immaculate The only issue is for some reason it won't stay on when the battery is in the machine, Runs perfectly fine without the battery, The battery is good (tested in another Machine)

I'm guessing it's a logic board problem.

Any ideas?

I bought it locally, I knew it had the problem when I got it. I got it real cheap,luckily.

Is the sleep sensor working?
The reason I ask, is that it could be this is either faulty, dirty, or loose !?!
