Problem with Software Updater

Last monday i was using the updater and worked fine, i re-started the macbook and tried to use it again and now i get this message, i have no idea what to do and im considering re-instaling my snow leopard...what should i do?

I'd start with just doing routine "Repair Permissions" from Disk Utility, and maybe an OnyX run as well. That will likely solve the problem.

I did what you said but it didn't work, now comes a message like that, you think there's something to do with it?

As all updates in recent times have been very big downloads, suggest going to the Apple web site whenever you see an upgrade is available. Believe download and update problems are associated with the huge variations available in Software Update availability from model to model.

My post Collin referred to the trouble folk seem to be having for a couple of years now using Software Update to download upgrades. There is such a variety of machines, it is much simpler to download the combo updater and let it work out what is, and what is not, required.

Rain started over here yesterday so you may well be saved.

Yes i do exactly that and now have 10.6.3 Combo safely stored on Ext HD.

Me - definitely not saved - but how about you Harry have u 'been Saved'
