Watching movie on second screen in full screen mode.

I have the Kanex iAdapt™ 51 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI w/ 5.1 Channel Digital Audio on my MBP and when watching a movie on a second screen when I put it in fullscreen mode the screen on my MBP goes black. How can I get it in fullscreen on the T.V. and still surf the web of use other apps. at the same time.

Which app are you using to watch your videos? I just tried this in QT and it worked fine. The movie went fullscreen on one screen and I could continue happily working on the other. If you're using VLC, go to VLC > Preferences > Video > and uncheck "Black screens in Fullscreen mode".

Thanks for the info. But I just found out that I can use DVD Player to play my movie. I used VLC before but did not like the fact that it played each vob. one file at a time and not the whole movie continuously.
