Hi,

eventually something basic, but hope somebody will help:

Question:
How can I mount an SMB (recognized as Sharepoint) network drive so it is permanently available.

The purpose is that:
- I have a number of network drives
- I have some applications that only allow me to save to specific places (i.e. those listed on the left panel on the Finder)
- I would like to save to network drives and have them directly available

Having some Unix knowledge, I tried
/sbin/mount //server/directory ./localdirectory
but this returned an error:

/System/Library/Extensions/ufs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) not privileged; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).
UFS filesystem is not available.

Any idea welcome!

Thanks in advance,

Jerry

15" MBP
Open System Preferences and click on Accounts
Click on Login Items
Click the + sign and browse to the network share you want and click Add.

Next time you log in, it will automatically connect you to that volume.

Mountpoint?

Hi thanks for this tip, but if I want to connect it to a specific mount-point, how can I do?
