I'm looking for another monitor for school that rotates 90 degrees which I could use in the vertical position for typing documents. I'm looking for one that is as cheap as possible. Can anyone recommend one?

Holy moly that's expensive. That definitively can't be the cheapest one out there.

I got mine for $200 over a year ago...so prices have most likely gotten lower since then. And you might b able to find a used w2408w on e-Bay or Craig's List.

You never really stated what size monitor you're looking for (in a rotating monitor)...and you never mentioned what your budget is.

If you think you're going to get a 90 degree rotating monitor for $50 bucks...forget about it!

$200 I can do, Amazon listed it for $425, which is why I said that. The largest monitor size I am looking for is 20in, I don't need larger than that. I know i won't be getting it for 50, but 150 would be nice if possible.

The 24" monitor I suggested is what I'm familiar with. I think that HP is one of the few companies that make a rotating monitor. HP may or may not make a 20" or smaller monitor that rotates...so maybe doing some of your own research of HP monitors will uncover additional options.

This HP w2408h monitor comes in a "rebranded version" sold on e-Bay. All HP names/identifier's are removed...and it is sold as "rebranded" or "refurbished"...and should be selling for around $200 or less.

Good luck,

Dell Ultrasharp 2209WA. Fantastic 22 inch IPS display with the capability to rotate. They currently have a $120.00 instant rebate on their website which makes it very worthwile.

Heh, you guys are about 20 years too late really. I had a rotating monitor back in the early 90s!

Not exactly. I'm very familiar with the rotating CRT monitors from Radius. ;)

Ah ******, rebate was up just the other day, guess it's already done with. But honestly, I'm not really sure *** little you're looking to spend on a moniter. This particular one has excellent picture quality for the price, evenwithout the rebate.

Yea, it's mainly for use in my dorm room, since I don't want to bring my good monitor to school, even thought it is 2 years old now. Are there stands out there that could turn a normal monitor into a rotating one without hanging a VESA mount off a wall?
