Hey guys I am ordering a new LCD for my Macbook Pro. I wanted to make sure that everything is going o work properly. Anyway, I am currently upgrading from the 1680x1050 display to the 1920x1200 display. So do you guys think that it will work?

I... don't think you can do that. Do you mean you're replacing the built-in LCD panel, or getting an external display?

If it's external than heck yeah!

I think he is trying to say he is updating his built-in ?! And to quote the Lady " I ...don't think you can do that"

Yeah the built in. I just found out that with the A1151 models you cant. I need a new display anyway though so I am just going to order a 1680x1050 glossy one. I dont like matte to much anyway. lol.

Yeah my macbook is glossy and I like that sooo much better. For games the glossy will probably be better to. Better colors or whatever. I dont take this outside much anyway so I dont have to worry about the sun.

They drive me batty, personally. I can't see any difference in color since they're the same TFT panels under there. One just has some shiny plastic while the other has a piece of thin mercury glass.

Depends on where you use the glossy screen. Overhead fluorescent lights will drive your eyes batty while a dimly lighted room is just fine. One nice thing about the glossy panels is the high color visibility they present. And the OP is correct, they're great for gaming (until your brain turns to mush).

Regards.
