I'm trying to connect my Yamaha keyboard to my Macbook Pro using the UX16 USB-MIDI Interface Cable but it's not recognizing it because the keyboard was made to connect with PCs. I tried to create an aggregate device using the Audio MIDI setup but that didn't seem to work either. I'm trying to use this keyboard to work in the program Reason and I would like to know if there is any way to solve this problem.

Some of the musicians I know use the Apogee Duet for their instruments not sure if this
helps or not.

I'm not really looking to spend $500 for a piece of hardware. Is there any software I could download to make it work?

Ok, so I installed the driver for the UX16 cable and Reason recognizes it but when I test the keyboard it doesn't work. Does anyone know anything I could do to solve this?
