You have to sign up (name, email, how did you hear about us) and then they send you a free license good for one copy. I don't use parental control stuff myself, but if I did, this is what I would use.

Or, if you don't want to install outside software, you can use the controls built right into your mac. Just open System Preferences and go to Parent Controls.
