iTunes stopped connecting to AP Express

I use an AP Express and stream my music from an external HDD. It has worked without problems, however now iTunes won't connect.

Sometimes the AP Express is unplugged while iTunes is still connected and there is an error message in iTunes. No big problem there.

However, today iTunes just won't connect to the AP Express, which is normally does automatically. The green light on the AP Express is on, Airport Utility shows no problems, and iTunes doesn't have it greyed out. It just attempts to connect but it doesn't work.
