Hi, Just got a new notebook pro but don't know how to set up a user login password at start up. Can anyone help?

Welcome EOS1D ..
First thing you need to do is go to System Preferences .. And you get this window ..

Click on security and then you will get this window ......

Check the box shown then you have the option of giving it a time to when you want to enter your password ...
