Illustrator CS4 just doesn't open all of a sudden in Snow Leopard 10.6.2.

Hi All!

I had been using illustrator/photoshop/indesign a lot! everything was working fine till 2 days back!
now all of a sudden, illustrator has stopped working! everything else is working fine!
I tried uninstalling the all the adobe applications completely (including the preferences were cleaned off!) and did a fresh installation, yet no success!

Mate welcome and hope we can help you out here. Had a look but really dont understand the crash report. If this has just suddenly happened the 1st thing i would look at doing is repairing permissions. Something might have just been corrupted and if so this should fix it up.

Applications~Utilities~Disk Utility and in the left column choose your HD then down to Repair Disk Permissions
Once you have done that, log out then back in and see if the problem exists. If so your next bet would be do the same thing, but booting off your Install disk whilst holding down the 'c' key, then choose language then at the installer window click Utilities and run through the repair procedure again.

Judging from the crash report, a memory allocation failed with an attempt to access an invalid memory address, and from the call stack it appears this may have been during the loading of some sort of "Adobe PDF Suite" plugin for Illustrator. If that's a plugin you can disable (I wouldn't know ... I've never used Illustrator), you might try temporarily disabling it to see if Illustrator will load without it.
