Printing from MAC OS 10.4 to network XP printer

Here is my problem. I'm trying to conntect a MAC version 10.4 to my XP netwoked computer so that I can print from the Mac to a HP Officejet D series connected XP computer over the LAN.

I followed the all of the steps at Printing to a printer on a Windows XP PC from a Mac running 10.4.x
I have installed the Gutenprint drivers.

But when I go to print I get the following message on the XP computer:

"Hp AiO Device Object Server
Wait For Service (RPCSS) failed =
hRes = OX8004005 unspecified error
Max retry attempts executed"

and the Mac won't print to the net work printer.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong????
