Hi all,

Not sure if this is the correct place to mention this but here goes?

I have an iPhone which was synced with a pc I own, I then bought a Macbook Pro and plugged the iPhone in to the macbook, I clicked to sync with the macbook and erase all content, as I have started a new itunes library. The new music library is now on the iPhone and will play, however when the iPhone is plugged into the MacBook and I select my iPhone in the left hand column all the songs are in grey and I'm not able to edit or play any of the songs in the music section of my iphone.

I have authorised the MacBook on my itunes account, and tried to manually to put my music on to no avail! Am I missing something easy, or does anyone have a way to sort this issue out?

It is like the iphone is not letting the new Macbook be the new controller of it!

Can anyone help me in any way?

Thanks!

You need to place a check next to "Manually manage music and videos" on the Summary tab for your iPhone in iTunes in order to 'manually manage' the music and video content. If not, all the music and videos on the iPhone will be greyed out since you would be using the sync options instead.

Thanks for the response, I just looked on the 'summary' tab there isn't a tab to manually manage music on mine, there are two tick boxes but they are ' automatically sync when iphone connected' and the other is 'sync only checked songs and videos' I've also gone into the 'music' tab and de-selected the sync option. Now when I check the content of the 'music' sub folder of my iphone on the left of itunes, there is nothing in there!

I've tried to copy music from my itunes library on to the iphone but it won't drop into it?

Any other thought please ....?
