G5. New Find.

One G5...1.6Ghz..4 Gigs memory. Two hard drives..one 1.4Tb and 152.7Gb. Os 10.5.8. Total cost...Zero. Did a swap and trade to a Pc guy who used it as a door stop. Took over a month to work out the deal..Real sweet machine, very clean..Nice.

Any computer you get for free is sweet. The student in me is writing this post.

I don't know what your intentions are but that, for me at least, would make a fine personal file/web server. What are you planning to do with it?

It has Server software on it. Not shure yet..have to make room for it. Theres like 9 Macs with in arms reach right now.

Good find! I still miss my dual 2GHz G5 tower... I'm thinking since I work for best buy, I'm going to build up my intel retail edge points so I can get a discounted i7 or 6 core Xeon, and then use the case to build a frankentosh later.
