Just got a new imac but I can't connect to the internet. The built in airport is on and recognizes the wireless connection but says there's no IP address. I'm trying to get onto a netgear wireless router that is connected to other pc's. Help...anyone...

Can others connect wirelessly?

Does the wi-fi network have security enabled? (what sort wpa, wep etc)

If it does have security are you prompted for the password?

No IP, eh? Is this a new wireless router? You may have it set to static IP with no value entered.

Also, if you haven't tried it already, you may try power cycling both the router and the modem.
