bmap font to mac font

I have bmap font that will not show up in photoshop or illustrator. How can I convert this font to a usable mac font?

You locate, and purchase, the Postscript or Truetype version of the font.

Or you locate a similar "freeware" Truetype font.

PS. It's "bitmap," btw.
