How to make menu bar transparent?

I made my menu bar solid white a long time ago, and I can't remember how to put it back to the way it was. I know I changed something in System Preferences. I want my menu bar transparent again. Help?

hello , go to sys pref / desktop & screensaver / desktop and check the box on the bottom

Mate go to system preferences>desktop screen savers and check the box as in the image ..
