I am considering the purchase of a late 2006 2.0 gHz Intel iMac with a bad screen. I don't find any used screens on ebay and they are super expensive at Apple. G5 screens are all over the place, they are same size (17"), many came with iSight, too, and cheaper. Now...(drum roll) are they swappable?

Thanks for response however I'm one of those people who need to know 'why'. Over the years I've resurrected a slew of items from the junk heap that others have written off so if I could pry a little more info about why this screen simply 'won't' work or what the actual difference are I'd appreciate it. ie: Making an LCD 'headless' eMac is a big job, too but doable, right? Probably not a practical use of time but being retired I have more time now than common sense.
