So...I've been the proud owner of a 4G 20GB iPod since about December (and it's probably the main thing that pushed me to take a look at Apple computers and now I don't know how long I can go without one). Anyway, at some party type thing last night I won and iPod Shuffle (don't know what size because I haven't received it yet). My question is how am I able to set up both of the iPods to work on my one list of iTunes which has nearly 1300 songs. The Shuffle can't handle that at all. I really need to figure this one out. Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by setting up your iPods to work on one list in iTunes. It is possible to use two regular iPods on the same computer (link), but using a shuffle and an iPod is different.
I think this is sort of what you are getting at, taken from the Apple Support Site:

Can I take a friend's iPod shuffle and browse or play its content on my machine (like I can with other iPods)?
No, there is no manual mode that allows you to view or play the content from a friend's iPod shuffle on your computer. This also means that you cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle like you can with other iPods.

You will probably find this link helpful as well

Does this mean that without having another computer with a separate list of iTunes my new Shuffle is completely useless?

I have an iPod G3, an iPod mini, and an iPod Shuffle. There's not much configuration needed, not any if you plan on using them both with one mac. As for the iPod Shuffle, just plug that baby in, and a playlist will appear, which will be the iPod Shuffle, and you'll just drag and drop music from your library into the playlist, and you're ready to go.

What iWhat said. I have a 15 GB ipod, a 1 GB Shuffle, and my daughter has a 512 MB Shuffle and they are all synced with the iTunes library on my iBook.

I've created separate playlists for each, so if I want to update just my Shuffle I drag the playlist I want to it.
