I am planning on getting the new 21 in. iMac and need to know if the geforce will have a clear bright screen or should I pay the extra for radeon? Does it make much difference in the screen display?

For general use I wouldn't bother, if you want to run HD movies and games
then it's worth it.

The graphics card will not affect the actual properties of the display (brightness, contrast, sharpness etc.). The screen will be the exact same with both configurations so unless you want a better 3D card it really makes no difference.

What wasn't explained to you is that the ATI Radeon is a much better chipset for gaming and high speed graphics rendering. And, that the Radeon has 256 MB of dedicated memory. The nVidia uses system memory (shared). If that doesn't matter to you, go for the nVidia GeoForce.

Regards.

Thanks chscag, I am 73 and only play simple games mostly downloaded from the internet. I have the radeon in my present computer, will I see all that much difference with the geforce?
