Let me start by saying that NO, I am not asking this question to do anything illegal. I have a legitimate academic need (I am a Professor) to mask my personal home IP that has to do with some contract I work with the feds. Is there a program for Mac out there that hides your computer's IP, does not have to be free, that is considered reliable and that works, and not just a scam or malware? Thanks.

I consider Hotspot Shield to be reliable, and its free (ad-supported).

But for the serious nature of your request I'd suggest you look at Privoxy using Vidalia.

Excellent thanks. My fed stuff is very low level, lol, not James Bond type of stuff, but they have a protocol. Thanks!
