Can't rename with commas in 10.5.8?

Your Mac's Specs
13" MBP - 2.7 Ghz, Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM.
I just tried to rename a folder and included some commas, but it wouldn't let me. I don't ever remember having this problem. Was this introduced in 10.5.8?

Nope. Works for me!

Please define "won't let me". What happens?
