According to this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MATLAB

Matlab 7.5 is the last version to run on a PPC based Macintosh (this is what you have).

Wouldn't the obvious answer be...go to the manufacturer's website & see what the system requirements are???

I just went to the manufacturers website...and found the answer in about 30 seconds.

System Requirements - Release 2010a - Mac

As Nick pointed out, going to the product publisher's web site would be the best way to find out. In a nutshell, the latest releases of MatLab will only work on Intel powered machines. However, older releases of MatLab were able to run on PPC machines such as yours.

Go to this LINK and look to see which version will run on your machine.

Regards.

You want to download a trial version of MatLab? Or are you asking for a free download? MatLab is definitely not free; even older versions are going to cost something. I suggest getting on eBay and looking for someone who is selling a copy that you can use.
