Hi. I'm having a weird problem with Snow Leopard (10.6.2). When I start the computer, the mouse pointer will move, but clicking doesn't do anything. The keyboard won't do anything either. However, once I put the computer to sleep by pressing the power button and wake it from the keyboard, it responds to input normally again. Sometimes a sleep/wake won't even do it and I have to disconnect/reconnect the keyboard and mouse to make it interface properly. How can I get it to recognize the mouse and keyboard correctly when booting?

Welcome to Mac Forums.
try resetting the Pram:
Reboot and immediately hold option-command-P-R keys all at once.
Let the computer automatically reset and make the boot chimes a 3-4 times, and then release the keys and allow the computer to boot normally.
