I recently went on a trip and took a small portable 500 gig hard drive with me to use with time machine on my macbook. Now that I'm back I've plugged back into my larger hard drive on my desk top and began using that one again. Now that I have no use for time machine on my little portable hard drive, how do I "reset" it to use as just a regular old external? I've deleted the files on there but it still says "time machine backups" when I plug it in.
Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the Forum. Not had to do this but try going into Sys Prefs > Time Machine > Select Disk and remove the portable entry from there.
