I want to take the hard drive from one Powerbook G4 Alum. and put it into another PB G4 Alum. The original PB has some physical damage to the case and superdrive, but will no longer turn on. Is it as easy as I want it to be - just to switch out the HD with an identical spec-ed PB? I've had the unit open before so the physical change out is no problem.

Ya, As long as you know how to open up the Powerbook it should be pretty simple plug-n-play from there. You may need to load OS or format the drive.

Really do not want to format the drive or load an OS as it is the old drive I am placing in a "new body"
Thanks
