Hey all,

I am coming from using thunderbird with gmail, IMAP.

I have several computer's and thunderbird with gmail (imap) would always keep all my inboxes between the machines in sync.

For example, if I read a new email on my desktop, it would then be marked as read, if I went and checked my inbox on my laptop, it would be there, but would already be marked as read. (which is what I want)

Now when I use Apple's Mail, it only marks the email as read on the machine I read it on....

It's anoying because everytime I check my email on a different machine I have to mark the emails as read all over again. I would guess it has somthing to do with "Mail" not marking the emails as read on the gmail end, and only on the local end.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Either you haven't set up your GMail on Mail as an IMAP account, or you have it set specifically NOT to change the status of the mails on the server.
