I have a white MacBook, about 3 years old, with a 2.0GHz processor, and I'd like to know what wireless chip it has inside.

I want to know if it's a proprietary Apple chip, or something off the shelf, so I can check there's a Linux driver for it.

Could anyone either tell me, or give me a clue as to how to find out?

Goto the  logo in top left, then 'about this Mac' then more info and you should be able to see the Manufacture/Brand name of it ..
