Completely erased the hard drive of an iMac running Tiger. When I tried to reinstall Tiger, the installer couldn't see the volume. Erased the volume and then tried to install, but again, with no volume present, I couldn't install. Went back to Disk Utility and tried to make one partition, but received the dreaded partition failed, input output error. Disk Utility says the Hard Drive is okay and so does Disk Warrior. I've tried to install from the original iMac Disks as well as from a Tiger install DVD and neither one shows a volume to install on. Does anyone have any ideas?
