Final Cut Express crashing

Hi there

Am new to the forum so apologies if I am posting in the wrong place. I have a MacBook running on Mac OSX V 10.5.8. I have installed Final Cut Express but when I launch the program is "encounters an unexpected error".

The guys in the Apple store said my MacBook had the required specifications but for the life of me I cannot get it to load.

Any ideas or trouble shooting would be well received.

First thing I'd try is uninstall and reinstall of FCE.
