Soooo...I have been using Drive Genius for defrag on my MacBook for awhile...When I upgraded my hard-drive to bigger size and higher rpm when I attempted to use Drive Genius it failed and I had to reinstall my OS can it be possible that it is compatible with my drive or something this only happened since I replaced my hard-drive...

Have you tried upgrading Drive Genius or even contacting them with the details of the problem.

I personally never defrag the hard drive, OSX handles disk optimisation itself, and there is usually no need to use a third party app for that
