Recommendations for "Defragging", or "Speed Disk"

Does my Mac's harrd disk need to be de-fragged like the windows machines to improve performance? If so, is there an app bundled with the OS or do I need to purchase something like a Norton Systemworks, or TechTools program?

no need to defrag...the journaled file system that OSX uses to put everything on your hard drive does it in a way that defragging is not necessary
