Call of Duty 4 Patch Problem

Hey everyone.

So I was running my CoD4 (retail) on the 1.5 patch and wanted to upgrade to 1.7. So I downloaded the patch and installed it with no problems. Next thing I know, I try to open CoD4 Multiplayer and it crashes on boot. I've rebooted and repaired disk permissions.

any advice?

Describe the "crash." Any error message? At what point in the app open process does it crash?
