in the past i was able to just type in the name of the website with out .com or anything....now i must put .com in! happened to anyone else? any way to change it back?

What did u do right before that changed? I can do it in panther now with the latest safari version (not the tiger one)

Try deleting the Safari prefs., that's the only thing that I can think of. In Tiger, for me at least, the auto-complete feature for the address bar works.

i haven't changed anything and i'm running Safari 1.3 and OS X 10.3.9
